Family visit

So, the past weekend, my aunt and uncle came to Buffalo from Raleigh, NC. They stayed for about five days.

I had a wonderful time; I hadn't seen them in more than a year. On Saturday, lostsatyr and I had dinner with them and my parents, and we brought over Drop Dead Gorgeous for "movie night" (a tradition started by my aunt and bonusparts while Aunt A. and Uncle D. still lived up here). The dinner was delicious, and the movie very much enjoyed by all. An added bonus was the celebration of lostsatyr's birthday by my parents; we had a very nice chocolate cake (made with zucchini, yet!).

On Monday, my godfather (Aunt A.'s godson), his wife, and their son came over for lunch. It was very nice to see them again, and I got to give R. (my godfather) his daughter (who is my godchild)'s birthday gift. Go me!

Monday night was the last night I did janitorial stuff with my mother and Aunt S. The evening was made better by Aunt A. coming to work with us. Things went much more quickly, and we got to talk along the way to work and back.

Tuesday, I stopped by for lunch and chitchatted with my two aunts until it was time to take Mr. Ari to the vet for his six-month checkup (he's doing well). After that, we came home and had dinner, and then lostsatyr dropped the car off at the garage for an oil change. Uncle D. was kind enought to give us a ride back to the house, and I went with him to my parents' to hang out a little with Aunt A. while my parents and Aunt S. were at work. That was nice, because we got to talk a little and I got to say my goodbyes.

All in all, a nice couple of days. It was really cool to see everyone again.
